MEDIATION

In mediation, a neutral party, called the mediator, works with the parties to reach a reasonable resolution of the dispute.  The mediator does not have the power to issue an award.

Mediation involves confidential discussions by the mediator with each party regarding the strengths and weaknesses of each position, in order to move towards a resolution, without the pressure of having a binding decision forced upon any party.
